Dr. Anora Morton- Founder & CEO

The Nori Project, Inc. was founded and led by Dr. Anora Morton who brought a background in operations, compliance, and systems building to address structural challenges in food distribution and access. The company was initially created to make locally sourced, healthy food easier to access for communities that had historically faced barriers to reliable, convenient options.

The concept for Nori was brewed by exposure to automated retail systems in Japan where vending functions as everyday infrastructure rather than a convenience novelty. That perspective shaped Nori’s development as a food equi-tech company focused on building smart vending infrastructure that enabled organizations and entrepreneurs to expand access, distribution, and revenue without adding operational complexity.

As Founder and CEO, Anora oversaw the company’s strategy, operations, overseas manufacturing partnerships, contracts, compliance, and growth. Under her leadership, Nori evolved from a direct food access model into an infrastructure led platform, positioning vending as modern, scalable distribution infrastructure. Through this work, Anora gained statewide and national recognition, including participation in competitive accelerator programs and being invited to keynote and speak as a subject matter expert at a national vending industry conference.
